Presenter Carolyn Mitchell Bio

Carolyn works as the Real Talk program coordinator with Sagesse, an organization with over 30 years of experience of empowering individuals, organizations, and communities to disrupt structures of domestic violence. Sagesse works to support individuals who have experienced abuse while also challenging societal norms and advocating for large-scale societal changes that will eradicate abuse in Alberta.

Carolyn has achieved her BA in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and has past experiences as a volunteer peer supporter for women. In her 3 years at Sagesse, she has facilitated REAL Talk with diverse groups and communities across Alberta to increase participant's knowledge and confidence to talk about domestic violence.
